Aksinin OleksandrType: Graphics Technique: Etching Size: 13 * 10 cm Frame size: 27 * 25 cm Year of operation: 1981 Author: Oleksandr Aksinin The etching belongs to the series "O. Aksinin's Birthday", which the artist started in 1976. On the eve of his own birthday, the graphic artist created one, sometimes two postcards dedicated to his birth. A composition of shaving blades is inscribed in a soft geometric shape. For the first time, this subject began to appear in the author's works from 1977, probably under the influence of Buryakovska's (artist's wife) story "Ockham's Razor". The artist repeatedly resorted to the image of doubles - we can observe anthropomorphic razors "stretching their arms" in the center of the composition. The work is characterized by a hierarchy of forms according to the principle "from large to small", as well as symmetry, which prevails in the works of the artist in 1977-1981. A little lower is the sign of Venus, inscribed in a circle that frames the text: "A. AKSININ FRIDAY". The artist was born on Friday, so in the context of his biography, this day has a symbolic meaning. The background is filled with a texture of miniature circles, which embody, according to a close friend and poet Viktor Kryvulin, "atoms of time", which are the frontal theme of the work.$550.00 -

Having chosen modern stylization, the artist embodies his own interpretation of the symbolic plot. Above the laconic geometry of the architecture, the wings extend horizontally, covering the entire horizon. The logical horizontal is continued by the outstretched hand of an angel, depicted in an iconographic gesture. The bright face of the Guardian gently protrudes between the contrasting linear planes.$780.00 -

Johann HohmannType: Graphics Technique: Midorite Size: 57 * 50 cm Frame size: 77 * 73 cm Year of operation: 1739 Author: Johann Hohmann Заголовок карти вписано у фігурний картуш у вигляді драперії, який тримають два путті і солдат. Вгорі зображено два вулики і рої бджіл. Ліворуч - герб Речі Посполитої, увінчаний королівською короною. Умовними знаками на карті позначено рельєф, гідрографію та населені пункти. Художнім малюнком, у вигляді невеликих груп листяних дерев, відображено природні ландшафти. Карта охоплює територію від Фінської затоки на півночі до Бендерів на півдні, від Ґлоґува на заході, до міста Орел на сході. З українських земель, які на той час перебували у складі Речі Посполитої, зображені Полісся, Волинь, Покуття, Чернігівська земля, Новгород-Сіверське князівство. Назва "Україна" охоплює Брацлавщину, Київське та Чернігівське воєводства. Показані гори Карпати. Гідрографічна мережа українських земель представлена Дніпром, Дністром та Південним Бугом з багатьма лівими і правими притоками та північним узбережжям Чорного моря. Mozil SolomiyaType: Graphics Technique: Mixed Size: 24 * 32 cm Frame size: 41 * 50 cm Circulation: 5/7 Year of work: 2014 Author: Solomiya Mozyl The author depicts the psychological stylization of the portrait in a sharp manner. For the realization of her work, she chose a mixed technique - linocut and appliqué. Thanks to the tonal solution, the image seems to sink into darkness. In the lower part of the composition, the author places an accent in the form of a bright yellow spot, which is not only a visual technique, but also carries a meaningful meaning. The author highlights the place where the heart of the figure is located, thereby deepening the sensuality of the plot. The topic that the artist develops requires a personal analysis. Only by reflecting on one's own experience can one reveal the voluminous message of the artist embedded in the laconic form of the linocut.$150.00 -

Due to the contrast of tone and color, the figure seems to be "cut out" from the environment. With an applicative accent, the author highlights the hero's head, leading the viewer to a spectrum of acute emotions. What does the red spot that emerges from under the dark strokes mean: anxiety, anger, pain or, on the contrary, something opposite? The plots of Solomiya Mozil are filled with deep psychology, therefore, in particular, this composition needs to be analyzed by the viewer tete-a-tete. Only on the basis of individual experience and the associations generated by it, the viewer can decipher the hidden message of the artist.$150.00 -

Gebus-Baranetska StefaniaType: Graphics Technique: Wood engraving Size: 15 * 24 cm Frame size: 37 * 44 cm Year of operation: 1964 Author: Gebus-Baranetska Stefaniya Methodiivna The history of Ukrainian kobzarstvo dates back to the times of Kyivan Rus. Folk singers were carriers of information that was passed on from mouth to mouth. It can be said that their work is a kind of prototype of modern media. The tradition of songwriting has been preserved for centuries, enriched and developed, therefore, in addition to informational and communicative benefits, the legacy of kobzarstvo carries great cultural and historical value. It is not for nothing that the story of the kobzar - the lyrical embodiment of national identity - runs through Shevchenko's work. Turning to the graphic composition of Gebus-Baranetska, we can observe the classic plot of the singer's actions, which acts as the frontal figure of the composition. The image contains a certain mystery: is it not Taras Hryhorovych himself bent over the instrument? The work is completed by exuberant bunches of flowers - the personification of the melody of the song that breaks out from under the fingers of the kobzar.IMPLEMENTED -

Trush IvanType: Painting Technique: Cardboard, oil Size: 24 * 17 cm Frame size: 48 * 42 cm Year of operation: 1928 Author: Trush Ivan In the presented work, we can see, at first glance, an ordinary plot: a coniferous bush, wrapped in a blanket of snow, leans down. The artist approached this topic with great enthusiasm and in 1927-1928 executed a series of 12 works with this motif. Trush endowed the plant with symbolism, embodying in it the image of life, which freezes under the respect of death in the hope of rebirth. In this way, the author reflects on the historical context in which he had to live - the liberation struggle of the beginning of the 20th century. A bush covered in snow is a demonstration of fighting against the elements. The metaphorical nature of the image prompts the viewer to think and inspires hope for the arrival of the long-awaited revival in the spring.IMPLEMENTED -

The presented work is made in the graphic technique. In an expressive manner, the author depicts the plot of a landscape character. The winged crown of an apple tree extends from the center of the composition, its branchy, fruitful branches abundantly fill the space. The aptly rendered glimpses of light filtering through the leaves of the trees show us the transience of the generous season, which is in full swing.IMPLEMENTED -

Palii IhorType: Painting Technique: Canvas, oil Size: 100 * 130 cm Year of work: 2022 Author: Ihor Palii The abstract composition of the work is full of expression and contrast. A plastic figure emerges from the mirage of halftones. But whether she is a real embodiment of a woman is unknown. The author aptly introduces the term "simulacrum" into the theme of the work, which has become particularly popular in the philosophy of postmodernism. It was first proposed by Plato in Antiquity, interpreting "simulacrum" as a copy that comes from previous copies, but generates its own prototype. In this sense, "simulacrum" acts as a certain fake of reality. With the presented plot, the author reflects on the topic of conceptual substitution, but does not reveal the questions. The artist seems to leave the interpretation of the plot open to the viewer.IMPLEMENTED
